SOME TEACHING REFERENCES for Rich Kopcho
Having co-taught the intensive three-day workshop with you, I would not
hesitate to TAKE a class from you! You have an extraordinary ability to
read the realtime dynamics of the classroom environment, and from that
understanding to cause students to think and learn. When you couple this
with your wit and enthusiasm, it makes for a very powerful and memorable
presentation. As a professor of twenty years, I have observed this
combination to be rare, indeed. Hat's off to your ability. Should you ever
have occasion to need a co-presenter again, I'd be privileged to assist.

To whom it may concern,
Instructors that make a difference...
Ever had an instructor that made a real difference in your life? One who
taught you lessons that you have taken everywhere with you? And, when,
years later, you get into that very situation you learned about, you
can see that individual very clearly in your mind, standing up there
teaching you...
In my quest of life long learning I have had several very good
instructors...mentors of sorts. Rich Kopcho has had this impact on me with
a course he recently instructed. Rich has the innate ability to engross
his students into the body of knowledge. He effectively surveys his
students abilities and learning styles and adjusts his teaching methods to
convey information to the student in the way that they really learn. This
skill is rarely seen in instructors.
Ever since the course that Rich instructed, I have gone back to Rich for
subsequent training with my people...for my money...he's the best.

The classroom experience with Rich was a positive one. The class,
Train the Trainer, took place on a Friday and Saturday. Rich used a
humorous approach to making the class comfortable with the agenda as
well as with each other. His class content was good and achievable in
the two days. He was very clear in the overall objectives of the
class. He interacted with the class in a very friendly manner and had
a consistent flow of information. He kept to the agenda without making
the class feel rushed. Rich gave personal anecdotes of his training
experiences which was a good method to create a good connection to the
group. He used questions to get good class participation in the
discussions.
Rich was very encouraging in his style of teaching. He told us in a
positive way how to improve communication and training techniques.
Being a trainer for the past two years, his class helped me tackle the
job with enthusiasm and encouraged me to have fun while teaching
others.
